The Walkman, the technology of the past

I have long believed that children and young people, probably many today would be absolutely incapable of using a telephone record of a lifetime, and other similar gadgets that have been falling into disuse or have been modernized so that its mode of operation has changed dramatically, so it made me thank you very much what the BBC Giving up my iPod for a Walkman, an article which you can read about the adventures and misadventures of Scott Campbell , an English lad who was proposed to change your iPod a Walkman for a week.

Nobody was as explained, so Scott took three days to discover that the tape has two sides and that he could turn around. Also confused the normal setting / metal type band equalization with an adjustment, and his father had to explain that using the rewind button as a kind of random function and is not a good idea for the life of the tape.

The only advantage that he found Scott about his Walkman to iPod is that the former has two headphone jacks, while the iPod need to buy an adapter to listen to music while another person.

I am glad that most progress
